CHRONICLES FROM A NEAR FUTURE
24.06 - 25.09.22
The exhibition Chronicles from a near Future consists in an encounter between two installations, Sylvia and Reverse Phylogenesis. From sci-facts to sci-fi, artists Stéfane Perraud, Golnaz Behrouznia & Dominique Peysson invite us to dive into the future of the living world, while raising fundamental questions about the essence of life and how biological evolution on Earth will unfold.

Though the works of Vica Pacheco are rooted in music and sound art, her visual practice also spans ceramics and 3d animation.
“Animacy Or A Breath Manifest” emerged from an investigation into pre-Columbian instruments made from ceramics. This resulted in a series of hydraulic whistle-sculptures that open up an entire new sonic universe.

Line Boogaerts works in site-specific drawings, performance, film, and video installation by concentrating on environmental observation through temporary drawings on windows.
At iMAL, the installation "Double Focus" will bind the inside and outside by layering into the transparency that is in between, thus adding a layer to reality.
Her work is on view during the (un)common grounds exhibition until May 29th. All information: https://www.imal.org/en/events/un-common-grounds
Pierre Coric employs technology to challenge conventional notions of perception in diverse installations.
“As we continue” is a clock that only activates when it senses a person’s looking at it. It thus measures presence and attention, shaping the space around it and people’s behavior while being shaped in turn.
Find the installation in (un)common grounds at iMAL, opening May 14th, 5 - 8 pm
The exhibition is open until May 29th from Wed-Sun.
